Several years ago when I was preparing for my 1st grandchild, my sweet daughter asked me what I wanted my grandchild to call me, I assumed grandma. It’s about all different kids celebrating Christmas with their Mimi, however that might look- taking a plane to visit, a horse ride through the woods, walking to her apartment over the garage, etc. It is all about being together with Mimi on Christmas. My mom (their Mimi) absolutely loved it and will be reading it to them every Christmas!

This book highlights that no matter what you call your Mimi/grandma, what type of house she lives in (house, apartment, even a houseboat!), what traditions you follow, or what the weather is like- it is always special to go to Mimi’s to celebrate. My girls loved the pictures, the different traditions shown, and the page that featured Christmas in a pool (because that’s what it is like visiting their grandparents for Christmas).
